Wiley University proudly announces the awarding of a $10,000 HBCU Endowment donation from the Western Area of The Links, Incorporated. The award was presented during the 47th Annual Western Area Conference, held June 11–14, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wiley University was one of nine Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the region selected to receive a portion of the $90,000 distributed in support of higher education and Black academic excellence.
The donation reaffirms The Links, Incorporated’s commitment to uplifting HBCUs and their students through long-term, sustainable giving. Wiley University extends sincere appreciation to the Western Area leadership and local chapters for their dedication to strengthening educational institutions that serve African American communities.
“We continue to be grateful for the support of The Links, Incorporated. They have consistently demonstrated their intention for protecting and ensuring the longevity of HBCUs. Their gift will strengthen the President’s Promise Scholarship Program, which provides every student with a scholarship to attend Wiley University. We enjoy this partnership with The Links, Incorporated, and are grateful.” – Wiley University President and CEO Herman J. Felton, Jr.
In addition to the endowment awards, the conference also celebrated the charter date of one of its member chapters—December 6, 1962—as part of the 75th Anniversary of the Western Area. The recognition honored decades of impactful service and sisterhood across the region.
Wiley University is honored to be among the institutions selected for this generous endowment and remains committed to advancing student success, leadership, and legacy.
