Join the Movement — Write the Future

Are you an HBCU graduate with a passion for storytelling and a pulse on what’s happening in our world? We’re looking for dynamic, driven writers to join the HBCU Research team and contribute to our magazine and website.

To qualify, applicants must be a graduate of a Historically Black College or University — whether at the undergraduate or graduate level. Our platform is built by us, for us, and we believe in keeping our community at the center of every story we tell.

A background in writing, journalism, or digital media is a strong plus. Whether you specialize in research features, cultural commentary, investigative reporting, or creative nonfiction — we want your voice.

Help us spotlight the groundbreaking work happening at HBCUs and drive conversations that inform, inspire, and empower our readers.

Ready to tell the stories our community needs to hear?

Send your resume, writing samples, and a short statement about why you want to join our team to lthornton@hbcuresearch.com.

Let’s write history — together.
